Angel of Silence

A tiny reading angel.
It fits in the palm of a hand, like a secret meant to be kept.
It reads softly, without haste, as we do with what truly matters.

White, simple, luminous.
An angel who does not announce, but listens.
Who does not speak, but stays.

In its hands, reading becomes meditation:

Technical notes:

The sculpture is hand-modelled in semi-refractory white clay shade with chamotte 0.02.
It has been decorated with ceramic glaze.
The little face is as small as a hazelnut.
The curls are applied one at a time and are made of delicate strips of clay rolled up on themselves.
The sculpture is hollow and has undergone two firings at 1020° and 980°.
