This handmade ceramic sculpture portrays a woman reading, wrapped in silence, as if engaged in a gentle practice of yoga.
Her aqua-blue dress, gentle and flowing, turns into a poetic refuge: an invitation to be lulled by stories and to find lightness again.

Technical notes

This ceramic sculpture is hand-shaped from a clay with delicate rosy hues.

The girl’s skin remains in natural clay, while the colored details are enriched with engobes and ceramic glazes.

The tiny book, no bigger than a postage stamp, is hand-painted with care.

The face is as small as a hazelnut and modelled by hand. The curls are applied one at a time and are made of delicate strips of clay rolled up on themselves.

The sculpture is hollow and has undergone two firings at 980°
