\nI would have loved to have met him!
\nI imagine myself waiting for him in his room in Arles. I know he will return after capturing en plain air the sparkle of a starry sky or the warm yellow of sunflowers in the fields. As I sit and look around, I see a tidy and very simple room, despite the beautiful colours and the enveloping light, it gives me a feeling of great loneliness. It seems to express the painter's soul, too sensitive, too lonely.<\/p>\n
Technical notes
\nThe sculpture is hand-modelled in pink clay, decorated with engobes and glazes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It faced two cooking processes at 960\u00b0 and 980\u00b0<\/p>\n
The face is as small as a hazelnut and modelled by hand. The curls are applied one at a time and are made of delicate strips of clay rolled up on themselves.<\/p>\n
The skin is left in natural clay, while the coloured parts have been painted with different hues of engobes (slips) in order to create delicate nuances and plays of colour.<\/p>\n
I applied glossy and satin enamels<\/p>\n
