The sculpture is hand-modeled with a pinkish-toned clay.<\/p>\n
The skin is left in natural clay, while the coloured parts have been painted with different hues of engobes (slips) in order to create delicate nuances and plays of colour.<\/p>\n
I applied glossy and satin enamels<\/p>\n
The little face is as small as a hazelnut. The curls are applied one by one and are made of delicate clay strips rolled on themselves.<\/p>\n
The tiny book, no bigger than a postage stamp, is hand-painted with care.<\/p>\n
The sculpture underwent two firings at 980\u00b0<\/p>\n
