Where Flight Begins

Where Flight Begins captures the exact moment when the feet leave the ground and desire finally chooses to trust.

Part of the Voglia di volare – Longing to Fly series, she leans forward into movement. One leg rises behind her while her arms instinctively search for balance. She is not fully flying yet. Instead, we are witnessing something more delicate and perhaps even more meaningful: the very beginning.

Her bright red clothing seems to follow the movement of her body, while the green floral top brings a fresh and playful sense of lightness. A tiny ladybug rests on her chest like a little good-luck charm. Even her hair joins the motion, lifting upward as though already caught by the wind.

Her gesture becomes a small metaphor for freedom. We do not always need to know where we are going before we begin. Sometimes freedom starts simply by finding the courage to loosen our hold on what keeps us grounded.

There is a moment between standing still and truly flying when everything changes. Where Flight Begins lives in that suspended instant — the moment when trust becomes movement and the sky suddenly feels possible.
