Sisterhood

I never had a sister, but I longed for one, especially as a girl.

I have often observed with amazement and a hint of envy the complicity and intimacy that two sisters have.

Sometimes I have heard people say: she's like a sister to me. Perhaps I can't manage to find or create this "life-sister" bond, because I have never experienced the bond with a biological sister.

I'm afraid I'll never be able to get an answer to this, in the meantime I'm pampering my dear big brother and my special girl friends. I must say that nevertheless I feel very lucky!
I must tell you that I feel equally as lucky!

Technical notes

The coloured parts have been painted with different hues of engobes (slips) in order to create delicate nuances and plays of colour. I really like playing with colours and decorations.

I apply a little enamel and usually it's glazed.

The sculpture is hollow.

The sculpture underwent two firings at 960° anda 980°
