The passionate reader

I am an avid reader. I read or listen to books when I model clay. A suspended time, an immersion that makes me travel with my mind, pure nourishment for the soul. I love reading!

The sculpture was modeled with a pinkish-toned clay without the application of ceramic enamels.

The girl's skin is left in natural clay, while the coloured parts have been decorated with white clays .

The face is as small as a hazelnut and modelled by hand. The curls are applied one at a time and are made of delicate strips of clay rolled up on themselves.

The sculpture is hollow.

The sculpture underwent one firing at 960°.
