Lighthearted Balance

"Lighthearted Balance" is a sculpture that celebrates those bright, simple moments when we allow ourselves to let go. This joyful little clown, balancing on a colorful ball and wrapped in her patchwork dress, carries a gentle message: happiness is not the absence of weight, but the ability to stay in balance with an open heart.
Her peaceful expression, the polka-dot party hat and her playful, flowing pose become an invitation to rediscover wonder, lightness and a touch of cheerful madness. A figure that makes the soul smile and reminds us how precious it is to give ourselves a moment of pure, carefree joy.

Technical notes

The sculpture is hand-modeled with a pinkish-toned clay.
The girl’s skin remains in natural clay, while the colored details are enriched with engobes and ceramic glazes.
I applied glossy and satin enamels
The skin is left in natural clay, while the coloured parts have been painted with different hues of engobes (slips) in order to create delicate nuances and plays of colour.
The little face is as small as a hazelnut. The curls are applied one by one and are made of delicate clay strips rolled on themselves.
The sculpture underwent two firings at 980°
